About Us
Partners in Wildfire Prevention is a coalition committed to reducing the adverse effects of wildfires through prevention and preparedness. We believe we need a comprehensive national strategy that emphasizes community protection, wildfire prevention, responsible investment, and rapid recovery to effectively reduce the risk of wildfires.
What We Stand For
Our coalition is working toward the following policy objectives to spearhead a new, comprehensive approach to wildfire prevention:
Keeping Safety and Prevention as Top Priorities
Identify proactive opportunities for federal funding that support state and local wildfire prevention activities and incentivize homeowners to take basic measures to protect themselves and their property from wildfires.
Reform the process to make it easier to do preventative work on federal lands.
Promoting Investments in Modeling, Technology, and Infrastructure to Support Prevention and Protection Strategies
Support risk mitigation-focused legislation that increases funding for modeling and technology to inform wildfire data insights.

Ensuring Prompt and Equitable Access to Claims Compensation
Amend the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) authority under the Stafford Act to ensure victims of wildfires can receive adequate recovery resources.
Implementing a Balanced Liability Framework
Increase stability in insurance markets and ensure that electric companies are well-positioned to continue supporting national and economic security.
